Mental Health at Mindful Living Retreats

Whilst we recognise that mindfulness and meditation may be helpful in managing stress, anxiety and depression, we also acknowledge the UK best practice guidelines that state that these practices may not be suitable if you are suffering from severe depression or other clinically diagnosed psychiatric illnesses including trauma/PTSD.

For this reason, we request all of our retreatants to fill out a booking form as soon as possible prior to each retreat's start date and, if necessary, one of our leaders will arrange a phone call to discuss your needs. If a leader decides a retreat may not be in your best interest but you hadn't filled out a booking form in good time then we may not be able to offer you a full refund. If you are having difficulties filling out the form then please contact us and we will help you.

Drug & Alcohol Addiction

Our retreats and courses are not suitable for those currently addicted to drugs or alcohol; we have neither the facilities nor the expertise to help those going through withdrawal or detox. We ask retreatants to have maintained a period of abstinence for at least 6 months prior to attending.
